THE DAY BEGAN with a brisk walk up the beach to the Castaway Cafe and breakfast in the morning sunlight with Lanai in the distance and the Whales spouting and cavorting in between.
Checked into our room for the week at the Westin Ocean Resort Kaanapali North. We drew a super room on the 6th floor. What a view!
I wonder if its the warm soft air that makes a uke sound so good in Hawaii. My favorite Koa/Cedar tenor is purring that old Lahaina song "Puamana"

AND THEN THE SUN WENT DOWN
A brisk morning walk, a swim at Black Rock, wandering around old Lahaina Town, settling into our home for the next two weeks, Whales, Ukulele music floating on the soft warm air, and then this incredible sunset. What a day!
