The final step before attaching the back to a ukulele is installing the side sound port
I got that done this morning. Here they are, just installed with the super glue setting up. Stu Fuchs big baritone on the left and Walter's tenor on the right.
With the glue now set and hardened I have been able to shave them down and sand them smooth both inside and out. With that done it is time to box these ukes up, the term used by luthiers for adding the back to an instrument.
And here is Stu's bari boxed up. Didn't have time to do Walter's tenor. That will happen first thing in the morning.
