TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY- thanks to all of you nice friends who have sent me birthday greetings on this my 81st birthday. The nicest gift of all was this image of me busking with my ukulele painted on the grand mural on the wall at the Fairhaven Village Green. The artist, Lanny Little, has spent most of the summer repainting his huge and classic mural of old Fairhaven and varnishing it so that it would last for further decades. This time he painted in a bunch of Fairhaven characters, and I was very honored to be included. I really have not been a busker before, but with this encouragement I think I might give it a try. Maybe a good charitable cause could use what change I could collect in my derby hat. Anyhow, Lanny caught me pretty well and I am very flattered.
