The frets are in the slots, the side markers are in, and the now completed fretboards are glued and clamped. These Ukes are lacking only their finish, and that will start very soon.
Tomorrow morning I will be able to do the final shaping of the necks, such an important part of the playability of a ukulele. When that is done the finishing will begin. First, more sanding, and then more sanding. Then pore filling of the East Indian Rosewood. Then the French Polish can begin. These ukes are about two weeks away from completion.
