WOW! this was a great jig that I swiped from Eric Devine's website. I just glued up the bindings and strapped them in and they are tight as could be and should emerge from their restraints perfectly set into the grooves. The pressure that all of these rubber bands exert has to be immense. Having the little dowel pegs only an inch apart allows you to distribute pressure evenly and thoroughly. I am mighty pleased. Also by putting them on one side at a time you leave yourself time and freedom to make perfect joints at the butt , I HOPE. Thanks again Eric, I am beginning to see why your instruments are so perfect.
