A new tenor ukulele is started, it will be #234

Here is the Spanish Cedar neck, The Claro Walnut sides and the lutz Spruce soundboard.

And the Claro Walnut back being joined in my clamping system.  That's a 25lb bag of birdshot holding things down.

Now lets cut the groove for the rosette around the sound hole

The router has done its job , the groove is cut

Now with hammer and heat the rope   purfling will be bent  and fitted into the groove

But first we seal the wood with dilute shellac to prevent super glue from staining the wood.

Now the rosette is installed and thin super glue cements it in place.

The drill press will make an entry hole

and the sander will shape the sound hole
