IT IS SPRINGTIME IN BELLINGHAM

For the last several days I have been able to sit outside and play a uke during cocktail hour.  I really enjoy sitting in the warm sun and practicing.  I do it every nice day at 5;00 PM after first mixing myself a nice martini.  A very nice way to end the work day.  Today I was able to watch the mason bees searching out a nesting hole in the stone wall of the house and listen to the Towhees and white crowned sparrows as they sing their courting songs.
they did not seem to mind my playing nor did I get any complaints from the neighbors.

I spent most of the day in the workshop today and got a great deal done.  I tackled a lot of little problems that I had been avoiding.  Lowered actions, fixed minor dings, changed some strings, I also began the French Polishing on the three Pinecone concerts.  They are all constructed now and only the finish, the bridge, saddle , and tuners  remain.  One of them is sold and I must install a MiSi pickup for the new owner.  Once I get a few coats of finish applied I will line them up for pictures front and back.  The buyer will get to pick the uke he wants from the photographs.  P.S. I am playing the prototype Concert Pinecone in the picture above.  They are really fun to play. It is uke #16 built in 2011.  Sounds
