I GOT THE NECK ATTACHED today.  I screwed threaded inserts into the neck,  Drilled bolt holes through the support piece and bolted the neck on.  Fits right, looks good.  I will not install it permanently with epoxy until the back is attached and the binding added.  Also got the back braced and labeled.

That is thin veneer straddling the center joint and thin spruce on the transverse braces.  The label indicates instrument number 66.

It is fitting nicely and I am liking it.

Now all the parts and pieces are in place.  I will unbolt the neck, slip out the end piece and be ready for the next task.  Glue on the back, make an end strip of ebony to hide the end seam, Cut and install binder top and bottom. Only then will I permanently attach the neck and end piece.
