I can't seem to resist the beauty of this wood from Finland
European Birch (Betula Pendula) fascinates me with its unusual markings and undulating grain. It also seems to add wonderful tone to a ukulele. This will be the sixth tenor i have build with the lovely wood sent me from Finland by a customer. It bends nicely, finishes to a soft yellowish color and simply makes wonderful ukes.
This "Finn" will have a three piece back. I was a little short of wood. Picture includes sides , An excellent pibece of Western Red Cedar will be the sound board and the neck, Spanish Cedar.
