One of my all time favorite woods, tiger stripe Maple.  This beautiful wood is elaborately set off by the highly figured Australian Blackwood binding that I get from Pacific Rim Tonewoods.  I just love the look.

The Master-grade Redwood blends nicely with the other woods.  The neck is Black Walnut and the fretboard and heel cap are Honduran Rosewood.   This will be a gorgeous uke whn it is completed.  The fretboard and heel cap are Honduran Rosewood and the frets are gold tone,   Is is coming along nicely.  This Uke is going to a Bellingham player.

I have great expectations for the sound of this fine grained Redwood.  It came from an old water tank on top of a New York City apartment house.  Maple backs and sides at a fine crisp tone.

The spalted Maple peg head plate shows lot of tiger striping and will match the back and sides well.  Even the signature g is spalted and shows interesting salt patterns.

And finally, this maple back is delightfully un-regular.  Amazing designs provided by mother nature.
