A new uke is started, the third I have made with the beautiful European Birch sent to me from Finland by Andy Pattison.  Amazing wood that makes amazing sounding ukes.

The back and sides are European Birch, The soundboard will be Western Red Cedar, the neck, Spanish Cedar.

Glueing tone bars to the cedar soundboard results in lots of "spill out".  The easy way to scoop up the excess glue is to cut a point in a plastic straw.Picks up the 'spill out" perfectly.

The tone bars  cleaned up and in place.
